Ruff and Huddle started life in London in 2012 and is inspired by mens streetwear and British and American youth cultures. The brand is run by two young parents Lucy Brice and James Suckling who after having their children decided to create a brand making items of clothing which suited their personal style and we’re not widely available. The name Ruff and Huddle is a derivative of their children’s names, Rufus and Hudson. It also sums up the characteristics of all children who can be rough and ready and also cuddly and sweet.
Spring 14 is the second collection from Ruff and Huddle who officially launched their brand at the world famous London department store Selfridges in October 2013. Within the range of product you see 70’s skateboarding influences in the cotton twill checker board shorts and short sleeve shirt and tie dye tee shirts. Sportswear styling is used on styles like the London Sports Jacket and the colour block tee shirts and 90’s utilitarian streetwear brings in the camo oxford fabrics used on the coaches jacket and dungarees. The tongue in check tee shirt graphics add tons of fun to the collection and are created by friends of the brand.
Ruff and Huddle’s spring summer collection is available from Liberty, Selfridges, Colette, Harvey Nichols, Fenwick, Sweet William NYC and over 50 independent accounts worldwide along with their own online store right here at www.ruffandhuddle.co.uk
